Through our partnership with Oslo Metropolitan University, students come to Arusha for study placements and to carry out fieldwork for their master’s thesis projects, hosted by Iyanna Foundation. We handle housing, logistics and introductions, and offer the cultural grounding that makes a stay abroad both effective and enjoyable.
Because we live and work in these communities, we can connect students with the right people and places — while making sure that their work is carried out respectfully, ethically, and to the benefit of everyone involved.

Fully furnished, self-contained housing in a secure part of Arusha, with cleaning, utilities and internet included.

Airport pickup on arrival and departure, plus help buying and registering a local SIM card so you’re connected from day one.

Help arranging local transport and fieldwork travel, including trips to the rural and remote areas their studies take them.

We ask students to come to learn, not to “fix” — engaging with communities that hold real knowledge and expertise. Our orientation covers consent, dignity and the ethics of fieldwork in a lower-income setting.
