Our Team
We are not only a team, but also a family

Prisca Lema
I’m Prisca Lema, founder of Iyanna Foundation. Growing up as an orphan in Arusha, I faced many hardships but was fortunate to receive support that changed my life. With a degree in Leadership and Governance from MSDC, I now work to empower girls from disadvantaged backgrounds, giving them the same chance to overcome obstacles and succeed.

Thea Haavet
I’m Thea Elisabeth Haavet, a filmmaker from Oslo, Norway, and founder of Soulspace Film. I create impactful films on courage, spirituality, and change. Passionate about multicultural storytelling, I support Prisca and Iyanna Foundation in empowering young girls and mothers facing adversity.

Irene Joshua Ndossy
I’m Irene Joshua Ndossy, a lawyer dedicated to supporting the underprivileged. As an Iyanna Foundation advisor, I help empower young girls with legal knowledge to claim their rights and build better futures.

Ntambara Fiston
I’m Ntambara Fiston, originally from Rwanda, now in Sweden. I started an after-school program using sports to support kids. Seeing the impact, I joined Iyanna Foundation as an advisor to help young girls in Tanzania overcome trauma and build brighter futures.

Gift Glory Nelson Mamuya
I’m Gift Glory Nelson Mamuya from Tanzania. Seeing the hardships of teen pregnancies—health risks, stigma, and school dropouts—inspired me to join Iyanna Foundation to empower and protect young girls.

Ritha James
I’m Ritha James, a teacher with a background in education, counseling, and international work. For 15 years, I’ve worked with NGOs in Arusha, empowering young girls.
I believe teen mothers deserve support, not condemnation. As an advisor and tutor at Iyanna Foundation, I’m proud to help give them a second chance to achieve their dreams.
